As Hesquiaht individuals, we're frightened at the basic survival point our language has drawn closer. Short of what one percent of the Nuu-chah-nulth populaces talks a Nuu-chah-nulth language tongue easily, and the greater part of those speakers are beyond 65 years old. The loss of our language would mean the loss of a massive measure of antiquated learning that we need in our lives.
